The Carbondale Police Department is an organization proud of its diverse and outstanding staff with a rich history of community policing and community interaction. Located between Glenwood Springs and Aspen, Carbondale boasts a resident population of 6000, which swells to 35,000 during our annual Mountain Fair weekend.

Our Mission is to provide the highest level of public safety with fairness, consideration and cooperation with our community.

Police coverage is provided seven days a week, 24 hours a day with a staff of 14 officers. The police office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closing for holidays and special events.
